Good eve Peeps! As we speak, YOUR Green Bay Packers are just killing Jason’s Cowboys. My how the mighty have fallen….couldn’t happen to a nicer team, however.
So the beginning of another week is upon us. I think with this whole shift in time has me off my internal clock. I am definitely off kilter…just feeling pretty run down and I haven’t really done enough to get to that point. I loved having the extra hour to sleep, but I’m fairly sure I’m not a fan of the early sunset. It literally looks like it is 4pm when the clock shows noon. *sigh* Is it Summer yet?
I can safely say this….bacon rules.
So I am heading to San Francisco this Wednesday. I am excited, but feel like the excitement will only build as the flight draws closer. I love the idea of these spur of the moment trips, now that I’ve overcome my fear of flying (which was simple, since I had just never flown before 2009). I am excited to try some new foods, see some sights, and share some laughs with my travel companion, Jen. I think Alcatraz is in the works, as is that sweet curved hill (Lombardi St.?) and the Golden Gate Bridge. However, if I get taken out by one of those toner ink cartridge bombs, I may be a bit crabby.
You know what is always awkward and funny at the same time? People confusing friends as couples or, even better, married couples. I get a good chuckle out that, but it does hurt a bit when the other person is almost so apoplectic in the denial. You get the “Oh him? OH no…no no no…(insert laughing here) Nooo. We are just friends.” I mean obviously there will be the correction made, but when it is that adamant, one can’t help but feel like…wow really? I mean I know I’m not exactly marriage material at this point, but it is like I’m the last person on Earth that would even be considered for marriage. I think I’ve had about 4-5 females give me that reaction so far (i.e. vehement denial). Ah well. It bothers me for a bit but I’m over it. It does just go to reinforce my status as the bachelor for life and/or cat person. But how could one not be a cat person with pictures like this?

LOLZ!!!! So cute!
So I’m going to have to get my knee checked out. I went for a run earlier in the week and made it about a mile and a half before I started feeling a twinge in my knee. I proceeded to walk for a little while then tried “finishing up strong,” which just led me to running the last mile in pain and having a limp afterwards and for a day or two following. I think I tweaked my knee back in a 5K in September….since I haven’t been able to run consistently since then without being in some pain. I’ve got an appointment in a week or so to get checked….I’m hoping it just needs some rest, but I did take like 2 weeks off from running and it apparently wasn’t enough. Ah well.
Green Bay this weekend was quite fun for Mr. Lish’s b-day. Saw “Due Date” in theaters….love me some Robert Downey Jr. Not quite at the level of the Hangover, but good nonetheless. Some priceless moments with Mr. Downey. I’m convinced he can do no wrong. We (including Amy and my roommate Jason) then hit up dinner and saw a comedy improv group (Comedy City). Plus, Mr. Lish made up breakfast in the morning. Really, how can one go wrong? Tip of the cap to you, Mr. Lish!
A song by Goldfinger just came up on Pandora called “Stalker.” In it, the main lyric is “I want to marry my stalker.” I don’t want to marry my stalker. :P
Well, that’s all the randomness I can really think of for now. I’m a little tired actually. Time to take my old man pills and hit the hay. You Peeps take care for now, eh?
